Gulf of Valinco: Propriano, Campomoro and the coast to Roccapina

14 lieux · Corsica

Propriano, at the head of the gulf, is sheltered from northerly, westerly and easterly winds and keeps about 100 of its 500 berths for visitors: this is where boats wait for a window to cross the Strait of Bonifacio. On the north shore, Porto Pollo lays a field of 200 buoys for boats under 16 metres from April to October, when anchoring there is banned. Opposite, Campomoro closes the gulf to the south under its 1586 Genoese tower. Further down come the roadless coast of the Senetosa lighthouse, Tizzano with a sand anchorage in 3 to 8 metres, open to the south-west, and then Roccapina.
