Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west with no offshore hazards, keeping clear of the coastal rocks close inshore. The inlet is narrow, with room for only three or four boats deep inside where boats lie in 4 to 8 metres and often run a line ashore near the beach. There is more room just outside the entrance in about 10 metres, on the right on the way in. Holding is good in soft sand the anchor digs well into. Shelter from N, NE, E, SE and S. Fully exposed to the libeccio from the west, untenable in strong westerlies, and it can roll at night on any westerly swell. Tizzano lies 3 nm to the south-east and Port de Propriano 7,6 nm to the north-east as safe harbours.
Ashore
Undeveloped granite shore with low maquis and small sand pockets, and no mobile phone coverage. A rock known as Turtle Rock stands off the entrance. The site sits within the Natura 2000 coastal strip of the Sartenais, with no road access, reached only by boat or the coastal footpath between Campomoro and Tizzano.
