Approach and anchoring
Approach from the open sea on a SW to W heading, no lit marks, so enter by day. Watch for rocks in the centre of the bay and off the beach on the starboard side coming in. Drop on sand in 4 to 8 metres, holding is good once set, and anchor beyond the 300 m buoys marking the swimming zone. The cove is exposed to the SW and rolls even in calm weather as swell works round the point.
Ashore
Plage de Cala d'Orzu reachable by tender, about 200 metres of sand backed by maquis. Two beach restaurants work the bay in season, Chez Francis at the southern end runs a shuttle out to anchored boats and is also reached by a rough track from Coti-Chiavari. Nearest road village is Coti-Chiavari about 6 km inland on the D55.
