Guide
Approach and anchoring
Enter the bay on sight from the W. Anchor on sand in 5 to 8 m closer to the shore, where holding is good and boats have lain to 25 knots, with rocky patches further out. Shelter runs from NW through E, but the bay is open from S to SW and to a westerly swell, and strong NW gusts fall off the hills even in settled weather.
Ashore
A beach paillote serves food and closes around 9 pm, and the Ancura restaurant opens at weekends; bins sit in the car park behind it. A Genoese tower stands above the bay and hiking trails run into the maquis. Porto Pollo village with its small harbour and shops is 1.9 NM to the south, Propriano marina 6.6 NM SE.
