Balagne: L'Île-Rousse to Calvi and Galéria

The Balagne coast faces north, and northerly and north-easterly winds blow straight in. L'Île-Rousse has very few visitor berths and its outer berths are exposed to those winds: book by phone. Between the two towns, Algajola is an open anchorage off the beach, with the Algajola rock, a metre under water and marked by a north cardinal, to avoid, and Sant'Ambrogio is a private marina. Calvi keeps about 150 visitor berths and lays 232 moorings in the bay from 15 April to 15 October. Past La Revellata, the coves down to Galéria and its small harbour are fair-weather stops.
