Approach and anchoring

Approach from the north across clear water. Anchoring inshore of the yellow marker buoys is prohibited and boats are moved on by the authorities, so drop only outside them on sand in about 5 metres, off the foot of the semaphore. Holding is good on sand. Open to winds and swell from NW through W; shelter from NE, E, SE, S and SW. Shift to Île-Rousse harbour if the wind backs west.

Ashore

Bodri beach fronts the anchorage, backed by maquis and the Balagne hills. Regional railway halt of Bodri on the Calvi to Île-Rousse tramway line sits behind the dune. Île-Rousse town centre and market at 1.2 NM by sea or about 3 km by the coast path.
