Vendée: Pornic, Noirmoutier, Yeu and Les Sables

9 lieux · Vendée

South of the Loire, the coast alternates islands and sill harbours. Noirmoutier is approached via the Bois de la Chaise, a fair-weather anchorage, or L'Herbaudière, the island's only deep-water harbour. Île d'Yeu, 10 miles out, has Port-Joinville open at all hours and the Ker Châlon beach to anchor off. On the mainland, Pornic, Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Les Sables-d'Olonne are the any-tide stops.
