Sète, the Thau lagoon and the Camargue

11 places · Languedoc-Roussillon

Sète opens onto the Thau lagoon, 20 km of sheltered water you can sail, with Bouzigues, Mèze and Marseillan for oysters and muscat. Eastwards, Le Grau-du-Roi and Port-Camargue, Europe's largest marina with 5,000 berths, then Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer on the edge of the Camargue. A low coast with no shelter between harbours: in a southerly, stay inside.
