Côte Vermeille: Collioure, Port-Vendres and Banyuls

The last 20 miles of French coast before Spain, where the Pyrenees fall into the sea. Collioure is a calm-weather anchorage off the bell tower, Port-Vendres the commercial port and the real shelter, Banyuls and Cerbère small harbours with coves inside the marine reserve (buoys only, no fishing). The tramontane blows one day in three: check the window before leaving Argelès.
