A hundred and seventy-two islands between Seattle and Vancouver, in the lee of Vancouver Island: Echo Bay and Fossil Bay on Sucia, Reid Harbor and Prevost on Stuart Island, Jones Island, Spencer Spit on Lopez, Patos and Matia, Garrison Bay and Roche Harbor, Friday Harbor for the town. State park buoys cost 15 dollars a night. Three to five knot streams in the passes, orcas in June.
