Approach and anchoring
Entered from the Spieden Channel side, with the approach split into two basins by a central spit. The fuel berth sits at the head of the channel between the two sections. The marina works VHF channel 78.
Practical
Berths take nightly, seasonal and winter moorage. The fuel berth supplies petrol and diesel, with propane also available. Fresh water, shore power at 30, 50 and 100 amp, showers, laundry and a post office on the dock.
History
The Hudson's Bay Company set up a trading post at the head of the harbour in 1845. From 1881 the Scurr brothers and then John McMillin built the Roche Harbor Lime Company, which grew into a company town of around 800 people. Reuben Tarte bought the site in 1956 and turned it into a marina and resort.
