The Seine from Paris to Rouen: halts and locks

From the Arsenal to Rouen, about 240 km of large-gauge river and six locks: Suresnes, Bougival or Chatou, Andrésy, Méricourt, Notre-Dame-de-la-Garenne and Poses. Inside Paris, a listening watch on VHF channel 10 has been compulsory since October 2025, boats under 20 metres are held to 18 km/h, and mooring is banned everywhere except the Arsenal marina. The Paris bridges leave a little over 6 metres at normal levels. Conflans, where the Oise comes in, is still the bargemen's town. Below the Poses dam the tide is felt and Rouen takes seagoing ships.
