Guide

Approach and anchoring

Access from the Seine navigable channel, between the locks of Andrésy upstream and Méricourt downstream. Maximum draught 2.2 m. Watch for commercial traffic and the current. The berth is tucked away with no wash from passing barges, a sounding gave about 3.2 m at the pontoon. Small rings run along the concrete wall before the pontoon and larger rings beyond towards the bridge. Approach the wall with care, brush and debris can gather in the water.

Practical

Room for one boat, with rafting possible as very little traffic passes. No fuel berth. Water and electricity are out of service as of late 2025, the pedestal is broken. Public toilets stand in the adjoining park. Maximum stay 48 hours. Provisioning is close at hand with a butcher, patisserie, cheese shop, fishmonger, a greengrocer stall and a Carrefour Express. Train station of Meulan-Hardricourt within walking distance, direct trains to Paris Saint-Lazare.

Ashore

Île du Fort and the wooded banks of the Seine for walks along the towpath. Town centre of Meulan with its medieval church of Saint-Nicaise on the hill above the river.
