Corniche des Maures: Léoube to Cavalaire, beaches and anchorages

15 places · Var

A south-facing coast looking out to Levant and Port-Cros. Léoube and L'Estagnol, with its shallow 500 metre lagoon, then the Fort de Brégançon, the president's summer residence: when the president is there Navy boats guard the fort, so pass well off. Cap Bénat with the Gau cove, and Saint-Clair, hold in a mistral, and Bormes and Le Lavandou are the two harbours. Le Lavandou has twelve beaches out to Pramousquier, then at Le Rayol the Figuier cove opens below the Conservatoire du littoral garden, before the Cron inlet and Cavalaire.
