Guide

Approach and anchoring

The approach lies among the rocks and ledges that fan out from Minot's Ledge Light. Three buoyed channels lead in: Western Channel, The Gangway and Eastern Channel, the last being the deepest and clearest. Numerous unmarked rocks remain, so a daylight entry in settled weather is wise.

Practical

No facilities at the anchorage itself. The town of Cohasset keeps a few transient moorings reached on VHF 10, and a town landing for going ashore lies about 1.2 miles west. Fresh water is available there.
