Approach and anchoring
Cohasset Harbor is reached through three buoyed channels cut among rocks and ledges. Eastern Channel is the deepest and clearest. The Gangway carries unmarked 10 and 11 foot covered rocks and should be used only in clear weather. Best entered on a rising tide.
Practical
Berths take vessels up to 42 feet. Shore power 20, 30 and 50 amp, pump-out and toilets. The marina runs at capacity with a waiting list and takes no transient dockage.
History
Minot's Ledge Light stands offshore on a ledge southeast of the harbour entrance, first lit in 1850 and rebuilt in granite after the original tower was destroyed in a storm in 1851.
