Approach and anchoring

Reached from Scituate Harbour, whose dredged entrance is flanked by breakwaters and marked by the white octagonal Old Scituate Light on Cedar Point. Approach depth around 3.5 feet at low water, dock depth about 5 feet. The harbour bar can break across the channel at low water and in heavy weather.

Practical

Around 100 slips on floating docks, with fresh water, restrooms, showers and a ship store. Kayaks for hire for single and double paddlers on the marsh. Bait and tackle on site.

Ashore

Scituate Harbour village shops and restaurants are a short walk along New Driftway. The marsh and Herring River draw paddlers in the spring herring run.
