- Type
- Harbour
Marina on the western shore of Scituate Harbour, a sheltered South Shore harbour south of Boston, Massachusetts.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
A buoyed channel runs west between the north and south breakwaters off Cedar Point, then turns south into the anchorage basin off the Scituate waterfront. Depths of 3 to 8 feet are reported through the harbour. Old Scituate Light stands on Cedar Point at the entrance.
Practical
Berths line the harbour's west shore. The marina lies among several yards, with Bulman Marine immediately to the south and Mill Wharf Marina about 0.3 mile further on. Town shops and restaurants are along the harbour front.
History
Old Scituate Light at the harbour entrance was completed in 1811 after the United States government funded a beacon to guide vessels past the mud flats.
