Guide
Approach and anchoring
Cohasset Harbour lies behind a field of ledges and boulders. Three marked channels lead in: the Western Channel, the Gangway and the Eastern Channel. The Western Channel suits boats drawing 6 feet or less. The harbourmaster keeps a few transient moorings, reached on VHF 10.
Practical
The town maintains at least four transient moorings in the harbour. The rest of the harbour is filled with private moorings. The club runs junior sailing and adult racing classes.
History
Cohasset Yacht Club was founded in 1894 to encourage sailing and seamanship and is among the oldest yacht clubs in the United States.
