Community sailing club at 19 Lighthouse Lane on Cohasset Harbour, on the Massachusetts South Shore.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Cohasset Harbour is approached through ledges and boulders by one of three marked channels: the Western Channel, the Gangway and the Eastern Channel. The narrow channel into Cohasset Cove is bordered by mud flats, so the approach is best taken near high water. Harbourmaster on VHF 10.
Practical
The club runs sailing instruction and keeps dock space for about 80 dinghies, with a waiting list. Visiting yachts use the town transient moorings rather than the club itself.
History
Cohasset Sailing Club was founded in 1960 to give town residents access to the water and learn-to-sail programmes.
