Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north on a clear bearing. Sandy bottom with Posidonia patches; look for bare sand to drop the hook and avoid the seagrass. Shelter from SE, S and SW quadrants under the lee of the island. Exposed to the mistral from NW through N.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Porquerolles village harbour is 1.1 nm east for fuel, water and visitor buoys. Port Auguier on the Giens peninsula sits 1.8 nm NW.
Ashore
Beach landing by tender on the sand. The village of Porquerolles is a 15 minute walk east along the coastal track, with bakery, grocery and restaurants around the Place d'Armes. Fort Sainte-Agathe above the village is open to visitors in season.
