Approach and anchoring
Approach from the E across the rade d'Hyères. Seabed of Posidonia; anchor only on sand patches, as the meadows are protected under the Parc national de Port-Cros management area. Shelter from N, NE and NW. Exposed to E and SE winds. Port Auguier at 0.8 NM to the W is the nearest refuge, Port du Niel at 1.7 NM to the W.
Practical
No services at anchor. Water, fuel and provisions at Port Auguier and at La Madrague on the other side of the peninsula.
Ashore
Sentier du littoral runs along the cliffs of the Giens peninsula, access at 200 m from the anchorage. Salins des Pesquiers, a Conservatoire du littoral salt-marsh and bird reserve, at 2 km to the N, crossed by the route du sel.
