Guide

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the east clear of the Giens rocks. Drop on the sand patches between weed to secure the hold; a trip line is advisable on weed. Exposed to easterly swell; shift to Port du Niel if the wind backs.

Practical

No services at the anchorage. Port Auguier 0.8 NM SW and Port du Niel 1.5 NM W for shelter, water and basic provisioning.

Ashore

Sentier du littoral along the east coast of the Giens peninsula, linking the small coves. The salt flats of the Vieux Salins des Pesquiers and the Parc national de Port-Cros offices are accessible by land from the nearby village.
