Approach and anchoring

Approach from the east under the cliffs of the Giens peninsula. Keep clear of the rocky foot of the cape and drop the hook on sand in 4 to 8 m. No buoyage, no night lighting. Port Auguier lies 1.2 nm west if shelter is needed, Port du Niel 2 nm west.

Practical

Fair-weather mooring only. Holding on sand, shelter from SW, W and NW. No services on the spot. Nearest fuel berth and water at Port du Niel in the village of Giens.

Ashore

Sentier du littoral runs along the cliffs of the peninsula from the cape toward La Madrague, 2 km walk. Salins des Pesquiers and their flamingo ponds lie 3 km to the north on the tombolo. Village of Giens with bakery and small shops 1.5 km west.
