Approach and anchoring
The cove is enclosed by the curved Municipal Pier to the west and Hyde Street Pier to the east, giving shelter from west and south-west. Overnight anchoring is by reservation only and limited to sailing vessels with auxiliary engines. Call Aquatic Park NPS on VHF channel 83A on entry.
Ashore
A sand beach and grassland park front the cove. Hyde Street Pier moors the park's fleet of historic vessels. Fisherman's Wharf and the Hyde Street cable car terminus are a short walk from the beach landing.
