Florida Keys anchorages, Key Largo to Key West

A hundred and twenty miles of reefs and islets between Florida Bay and the Gulf Stream. Rodriguez Key and Tarpon Basin at Key Largo, Islamorada and Indian Key, Boot Key Harbor at Marathon with its 226 city moorings, Bahia Honda and Newfound Harbor in the Lower Keys, then Key West and Fleming Key. Two to three metres of water everywhere and protected seagrass: anchor on sand, and watch the winter cold fronts that swing the wind north.
