Approach and anchoring

Reached from the Gulf side through the Garrison Bight channel north of Key West, under the Palm Avenue causeway bridge with around 16 ft of vertical clearance. The mooring field lies between Fleming Key and Sigsbee Park. Call the marina office on VHF 16 before arrival.

Practical

Around 245 slips straddling the Palm Avenue causeway and a 149-ball mooring field, of which roughly 90 buoys are kept open for transients. Mooring rate around 16 USD per day, 290 USD per month, tax included. Shore power 30 and 50 amp at slips, water, WiFi, pumpout, heads, showers, laundry and ice. Each mooring is inspected every 180 days.

Ashore

Old Town Key West and Duval Street at 2 km south by foot or scooter. Higgs Beach and the Atlantic shore at 2 km south-east. Conch Tour Train and the Hemingway Home on Whitehead Street at 2,5 km.

History

The mooring field was built by the City of Key West with grant funding from Monroe County Marine Resources, starting with 81 buoys and later extended to 149 to absorb the live-aboard fleet anchored off-shore.
