Approach and anchoring

Call VHF 80 on arrival and obey the entrance lights, as commercial traffic is heavy. A marina dory guides boats to the outer Swan pontoons, usable at any state of tide. Some boats then cross the sill into Victoria Marina when the tide allows. The waiting pontoon had a 2 m draught limit in 2026. In 2025 some berths left boats resting on the keel, a risk above 1.8 m draught. A large NE swell can enter the marina, which has no storm gate.

Practical

In 2026 the marina took no bookings, allocating berths on arrival. Fees can be paid at the waiting pontoon, which issues the customs form. It goes in the yellow customs box on the dock. In 2026 the outer pontoons had water by long hose but no power. A 10.5 m boat paid about 35 pounds a night outside in May 2026. Seven nights were charged as six in 2026. Duty-free diesel cost about 1.07 pounds a litre in July 2026. Showers and laundry on site.

Ashore

Bars, restaurants, chandleries and grocery shops are close to the pontoons. Visiting crews could lunch at the Guernsey Yacht Club in 2026. Thai Too is one of the restaurants in town. Seawater bathing pools, free in 2026, lie about 15 minutes' walk south. Buses run round the island. In 2026 a hire shop 15 minutes' walk away rented scooters for 55 pounds. Walks follow the south-west coast.
