Rocky anchorage off the south-west coast of Corsica, near Tizzano in the commune of Sartène.

Approach and anchoring

Approach from the south or south-west with good visibility on the granite heads. The white rocks are easily taken for sandbanks, so dive to check the drop; the bottom is rock and pebble and an anchor trip line is essential to recover the hook. Room for only one or two boats, anchoring around 5 metres at the head of the cove or 11 to 12 metres further out. Shelter from N, NE, E, SE and NW. Exposed to W and SW swell, which sets up a roll.

Ashore

The Senetosa lighthouse can be reached on foot along the shore, past the cala du fanale, which makes a better anchorage in the right conditions. Tizzano village 2.4 nm east has a small fishing harbour and a handful of restaurants. Port de Propriano 8.5 nm NE for full services and fuel.
