Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south-west clear of the Sénétose reefs and the Cagnola headland. The bottom is rock with sand pockets among it; aim for the sand in the middle of the bay, and be ready to re-lay as some crews have had to anchor twice for a good hold. Sheltered from N, NE and E, but open from S round through SW to W and NW, where the libeccio builds a significant swell, and it rolls at night even in light winds. No night lighting in the bay.
Practical
No services at anchor and no mobile phone or data coverage in the bay. Tizzano, 3.8 NM SE, has a small harbour with a few visitor buoys, a bakery and two restaurants. Port de Porto Pollo, 7.3 NM N, offers a full marina with fuel, water and a capitainerie.
Ashore
Several small pink-sand beaches line the cove, with the Cala di Conca beach a walk along the shore. The restored Genoese tower of Senetosa stands on the headland 2 km south and is reached by a marked coastal path. The site is part of the Natura 2000 zone Plateau de Pertusato and Îles Cerbicale fringe.
