Guide
Approach and anchoring
A small marina entered from seaward, maximum draught 1.5 m. A sandbank builds regularly in the entrance pass, with about 1.6 m reported, so enter in calm weather and watch the bar. Berths are on pontoons and against bollards.
Practical
Staff help with mooring and often greet arrivals with a free cold bottle of rose. Sanitary facilities are clean, set around a patio, and the pontoons have a security gate. There is no VHF, so call the office by phone; it closes around 17:00, but crews can take their allotted place and pay online. Mobile coverage is weak. Prices are low and good value.
Ashore
The marina lies in a green, quiet setting with palm trees and a long wild beach right beside it. On the harbour front, the restaurant La Cabana del Port and the P'tit Mousse food truck serve behind the office. The town centre of Sainte-Marie-la-Mer is a 20 to 30 minute walk, with a Casino and a small U for provisions, a bakery and restaurants.
