Large marina on the Roussillon coast, 1300 berths facing the Canigou massif, between the Têt estuary and Saint-Cyprien.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east on a low sandy coast, entrance between two jetties marked by red and green lights. Maximum draught 3 m. VHF channel 9. Strong tramontane from NW can generate a lively cross-swell at the entrance, approach with reduced sail.
Practical
1300 berths on floating pontoons for boats up to 25 m. Fuel berth with diesel and petrol, water and power on every pontoon, travel hoist up to 50 tonnes, full boatyard with winter storage. The site is spread out, the technical zone and chandlery about 2 km from the reception pontoon, so the office lends bikes and runs a seasonal shuttle between the fuel station and the Môle Nord car park. Shops and restaurants sit within 400 m, the supermarket about 1 km. Pontoon A, by the big wheel and car park, can be noisy at night in summer, so ask for a quieter berth.
Ashore
Sandy beach directly north and south of the marina. Étang de Canet-Saint-Nazaire, a protected lagoon for birdwatching with flamingos and herons, lies 1 km south. Perpignan is a short bus ride inland. Collioure and the rocky Côte Vermeille start 20 km to the south by road.
