Approach and anchoring

Entry through the Grand Trait channel between Pen Bron and Jetée du Tréhic, buoyed and lit. Strong tidal stream at mid-flood and mid-ebb, up to 3 knots in the narrows. Seabed of sand and mud, holding rated fair on Navily. Shelter from N through SE, open to the W swell pushed in by the flood.

Practical

Mooring on private buoys allocated by the harbour office of Le Croisic. Fuel berth, water and chandlery at the Jetée du Tréhic, 0.2 NM south. Shops, market and rail station at Le Croisic within 400 m of the criée.

Ashore

Fish auction of Le Croisic open to public viewing at dawn, 0.2 NM south. Coastal path GR34 runs from the Jetée du Tréhic around Pointe du Croisic to Batz-sur-Mer, 4 km. Ocearium aquarium at 600 m from the port entrance.
