Approach and anchoring
Daytime anchorage off the beach. Sand bottom, good holding. Exposed to south-west swell, untenable in fresh onshore winds. Approach by day, no buoyed channel.
Practical
Anchor in 3 to 5 metres at low water on sand. No services. La Baule-Le Pouliguen marina 1.7 nautical miles east. Le Croisic 2.2 nautical miles north-west for locked basin, fuel and shops.
Ashore
Sentier des douaniers runs along the Côte Sauvage and the Pointe du Croisic. Guérande salt marshes and the fortified town of Guérande about 6 km inland from Le Pouliguen.
