Guide
Approach and anchoring
A marked dredged channel leads from the Tred Avon River to a turning basin at the head of the creek, with about 7 feet at the entrance shoaling to 5 feet midchannel. Two anchorage basins lie on the west side of the channel. The creek is well sheltered from all but a small gap at the NE. Fresh water is available ashore.
Practical
The anchorage holds only a couple of boats. Campbell's Boatyards at Jack's Point is 0.1 mile to the SW for haul-out and repairs, and Safe Harbor Oxford lies 0.2 mile to the NW for berths, fuel and provisions.
Ashore
The town of Oxford lines the creek, with shops, restaurants and the Oxford-Bellevue ferry, one of the oldest privately run ferries in the United States, crossing the Tred Avon a short walk away.
