Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the ICW via the St. Marys River entrance, then up the North River. The yard handles haul-out, hull, engine and propeller work for cruisers transiting the Georgia coast. Nearest refuges are Lang's Marina, 1.9 NM south-west on the St. Marys waterfront, and Oyster Bay Yacht Club, 4.8 NM south.
Practical
Located at 1084 New Point Peter Road. Haul-out, storage, hull, engine and propeller repairs, plus space for owners to work on their own boats. No transient slips for water-based stays; cruising boats moor at Lang's Marina or the St. Marys Intracoastal Gateway Marina in town.
Ashore
Historic downtown St. Marys is 4 km north along New Point Peter Road. The St. Marys Submarine Museum, on Submarine Capitol Park, is at the foot of St. Marys Street, opposite the dock where the Cumberland Island National Seashore ferry departs.
