Marina on the St Marys waterfront in south-east Georgia, gateway to Cumberland Island and the Intracoastal Waterway.
Guide
Approach and anchoring
Reached from the ICW via the St Marys River, which carries deep water to the town quay. Lang's runs two facilities, East and West, both alongside the historic downtown waterfront. Dockside depth is around 12 feet at mean low water, enough for cruising yachts and small craft alike.
Practical
Fresh water, shore power and showers on the docks. Fuel and provisions available. Berths take vessels from small fishing boats up to large yachts.
Ashore
St Marys town centre is at the dock gate. The St Marys Submarine Museum is a short walk along the waterfront, with a working periscope on its roof. The Cumberland Island ferry leaves from downtown, a 45-minute run to the national seashore.
