Approach and anchoring
Approach from the west across the Bay of Douarnenez, leaving the Île Tristan to starboard. Sand bottom gives good holding. Sheltered from SE, S, SW and W; open to the north and NE across the bay. Tréboul marina 0.3 nm SW as the nearest refuge.
Practical
Six moorings and space to anchor. No services at the mooring. All facilities at Tréboul marina, 0.3 nm SW, including fuel, water, electricity, showers and a boatyard. Rosmeur fishing port 0.5 nm SE for the fish auction and restaurants.
Ashore
Port-Rhu and the Port-Musée, a floating maritime museum with a fleet of classic boats, lie at the head of the bay 1 km from the anchorage. Sentier des douaniers GR 34 runs along the coast from Tréboul towards the Pointe de Leydé. Covered market at Douarnenez on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings, 1 km from the dinghy landing.
