Sand bottom, good holding. Sheltered from NW, N, NE, W and E winds, exposed to S and SE. Free of dangers in the approach, bay clear beyond the 5 metre contour. Morgat 2.6 NM W for all-weather shelter, Camaret-sur-Mer 7.1 NM NW on the N coast of the peninsula.

Grottes marines de Morgat accessible by dinghy along the cliffs W of the anchorage, sea caves cut into Armorican sandstone, visitable by passenger boat from Morgat. Cap de la Chèvre 4 km S by coastal path GR 34, southern tip of the Crozon peninsula with views over the bay of Douarnenez.
