Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the south in settled weather. The island connects to the mainland by a tombolo of sand and pebbles, uncovered at low water. Sand holding. Shelter from N to SE only; clear out if the wind backs into the west.
Practical
Forain anchorage with no facilities. Closest all-weather refuges are Morgat at 2,3 NM W and Camaret-sur-Mer at 6,7 NM NW through the Toulinguet passage.
Ashore
The site sits inside the Parc naturel régional d'Armorique. Ruins of a small Iron Age fort and a 19th-century coastal battery on the island. GR 34 coastal path follows the cliffs between Morgat and Cap de la Chèvre, with access from the tombolo at low water.
