Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east along the Cap Corse shore. Sand bottom gives good holding in 4 to 8 m. Shelter from SW to NW winds, open to the levante from E to NE, which builds a short steep sea.
Practical
Forain anchorage, no facilities. Port Taverna 6.5 NM S is a small harbour with water and a café. Bastia Vieux Port 15.4 NM N offers fuel, full provisioning and the ferry terminal.
Ashore
Tour génoise de San Pellegrino stands on the point, one of dozens built along the Cap Corse shore between 1530 and 1620 as a lookout network against Barbary raids. Hamlet of Sisco is reached by a minor road 2 km inland.
