Approach and anchoring
Approach from the east with no offshore dangers. Rocky bottom with sand patches; pick a light spot for holding. Sheltered from N, W and NW winds by the Corsican mainland; exposed to E and SE, the prevailing swell direction on this coast. Port Taverna 4.5 NM S is the nearest refuge.
Practical
No services at the anchorage. Tender landing on the beach of Figareto. Small shops and restaurants in Moriani-Plage, around 1 km along the coast.
Ashore
Long sand beach of the Costa Verde running several kilometres north and south. Sentier du littoral of the east coast follows the shore. Inland, the Castagniccia chestnut-forest region begins about 10 km west, with villages such as La Porta and Piedicroce.
