Approach and anchoring
Approach from the S of the Grand Mouton cardinal mark and follow the buoyed channel into the Golfe. The pass runs strong tidal streams, up to 8 knots at springs on the ebb. Drop on sand W of the ferry jetty, clear of the fairway. Sheltered from SE, S and SW, exposed to the W swell at HW.
Practical
Water on the town quay. Port du Crouesty 0,7 NM by road to the W, one of the largest marinas on the Atlantic coast with 1 500 berths, fuel, boatyard and all services. Shops and restaurants along the quay of Port-Navalo.
Ashore
Passenger ferry services to Locmariaquer, Île-aux-Moines and Île d'Arz from the jetty. Pointe de Port-Navalo lighthouse, built in 1840, stands 100 m W of the quay. Coastal path of the Sentier des Douaniers runs along the Rhuys peninsula from the lighthouse.
