Approach and anchoring
Approach from the main gulf channel. Strong tidal streams run through the Gulf of Morbihan, up to 8 knots at springs in the narrows off Port-Blanc. Time the approach for slack water. Rocky patches on the bottom so set the anchor carefully and check the hold.
Practical
Forain anchorage without services. Port de Saint-Gildas lies 1.3 NM east if shelter is needed. Port de l'Argol sits 5.5 NM to the south-east.
