Guide
Approach and anchoring
Approach from the north, rounding the Punta di Spano. Entrance between two jetties, straightforward in daylight and lit at night. Maximum draught 2.2 m. VHF channel 9. Good shelter from all sectors except a narrow north-northwest swell that can enter the outer basin.
Practical
Harbour office staffed in season. Water and electricity on the pontoons, fuel berth with diesel and petrol. Showers and laundry on site. Small grocery and restaurants within the marina compound. Calvi town and its supermarkets are 7 km south by road.
Ashore
Beach of Sant'Ambroggio at 200 m, sand and shingle. The Lumio hill village sits 3 km inland with the 11th century Pisan church of San Petru. Train stop of the Tramway de la Balagne at Sant'Ambroggio for Calvi and Ile-Rousse in summer.
History
The marina was built in the 1970s as part of the Sant'Ambroggio resort development and later named after Eugene Ceccaldi, a Corsican figure of the local community.
