Approach and anchoring
Sand bottom with good holding. Shelter from NE, E and SE winds. Exposed to the prevailing W to NW Libeccio, which kicks up a short chop in the bay.

Port Eugène Ceccaldi at Sant'Ambroggio 1.1 nm NE for diesel, water, sanitary blocks and a chandlery. Port de Calvi 2.8 nm SW with full services, customs and ferry terminal.
Ashore
Algajola village, 300 m from the beach, is a medieval bourg with Genoese ramparts and a 16th century citadel. Long sand beach runs 1.5 km between Algajola and Aregno. The Balagne wine road crosses hillside villages of Sant'Antonino and Pigna 5 km inland.
