Guide

Approach and anchoring

Access from the lake via a narrow channel reaching the village. Depth very limited, around 0.4 m. Boats drawing more than 40 cm cannot enter reliably, so most keelboats stay on the outer buoy field. Navigation on the lake requires the communal tax, payable at the mairie or online.

Practical

Two slipways, about 17 moorings, 75 berths on piles and 5 floating pontoons. Fuel pump on site. Sanguinet Marine runs boat hire from the port. Shops, bakery and restaurants in Sanguinet village 500 m away.

Ashore

Cycle path from the port to the lake beach of Sanguinet in 1,5 km, part of the Vélodyssée route between Arcachon and Biscarrosse. Musée du lac de Sanguinet in the village displays Gallo-Roman dugout canoes recovered from the lake bed.
