Approach and anchoring
Freshwater lake, no tide. Sand bottom with patches of weed, good holding in sand. Sheltered from E, S and SE by the shore and pine forest. Open to W and NW winds blowing off the dunes. Draught under 2 m close to shore, stay 50 m off the reed beds.
Practical
No services at the anchorage itself. Port de Navarrosse 0.5 nm to the SW with slip, water, and summer snack bar. La Paillote beach bar 0.1 nm south on the waterfront.
Ashore
Sentier du tour du lac passes behind the beach, 28 km loop through the Landes forest. Bike path from Navarrosse to Biscarrosse-Plage, 12 km west across the dunes. Musée des Traditions et de l'Hydraviation in Biscarrosse 8 km south.
