Approach and anchoring
Inland lake accessed from the village of Sanguinet. No tides, freshwater. Holding variable on the algae-covered bottom, dig the anchor in carefully. Shelter limited from south-westerly winds.
Practical
Port du Pavillon at 0.5 NM to the west for launch and basic services. Sanguinet sailing club at 0.6 NM to the west for dinghy sailing and boat storage.
Ashore
Village of Sanguinet with shops and the Musée du Lac archaeological site reachable from Port du Pavillon. Forested shore of the Landes regional natural park, marked cycle paths along the west side of the lake linking to Biscarrosse.
