Approach and anchoring
Access from the Pertuis Breton, then up the Sevre Niortaise past the Corps de Garde mark 0.9 nautical miles to the west. River entrance dries and requires a rising tide. Mud bottom with fair holding.
Practical
Open to west and easterly fetch; shelter from N, NE, S and SE. No services at the mooring. Port du Pave Charron 2.3 nautical miles SW has a public quay and small slip.
Ashore
Entry to the Marais Poitevin regional park, known as the Venise Verte, via the waterways starting at Marans 5 km upstream. Cycle path along the Sevre embankment leads to Marans town centre and its covered market.
